THE ROLE

At Heartwood Community School, we believe that every child deserves access to exceptional educational opportunities. As the Student Enrollment and Recruitment Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting our school’s growth by driving student enrollment efforts and ensuring families are welcomed into our community. In this role, you will connect with prospective families, build relationships with community organizations, and guide families through the enrollment process. This position is ideal for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial individual who thrives in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Outreach

  • Represent Heartwood Community School at community events, informational fairs, and other gatherings to promote the school and connect with families.
  • Build partnerships with local organizations, such as daycares, housing authorities, community centers, and parent groups, to share information about the school.
  • Plan and execute presentations, tabling events, and other outreach activities to engage prospective families.

Student Recruitment

  • Motivate families to enroll their children by highlighting the unique opportunities offered at Heartwood.
  • Generate and nurture leads by gathering prospective family contact information, following up, and inviting them to visit the campus.
  • Use phone calls, emails, and text messages to encourage families to submit applications.
  • Track and analyze enrollment data to inform recruitment strategies and tactics.

Family Enrollment Assistance

  • Assist families through the enrollment process, resolving any issues promptly and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Manage the registration and re-registration processes by distributing communications, providing technical assistance, and supporting document collection.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust and engage with families from diverse backgrounds.

  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and communication platforms.
  • Comfort navigating new environments, approaching people, and initiating conversations.
  • Event planning and logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of our community and local community organizations within proximity of our campus.
  • Knowledge of charter school recruitment strategies, including the unique challenges and opportunities involved in engaging families and promoting enrollment preferred.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) strongly preferred.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience in outreach, marketing, or recruitment will be strongly considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to personal transportation required.

COMPENSATION

The salary for this role is $80,000. To uphold our commitment to equitable and fair compensation, we offer a competitive salary and have a no-negotiation policy.
